York smirked, glancing away from Adolphus. “Why don’t you take a guess?”

“If I could guess, I wouldn’t be asking you,” Teddy grumbled.

He’d heard so many stories about Adolphus back in Cabinda, none of them flattering, but somehow girls still fell for him left and right. Teddy just didn’t get it.
