I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 203

Steven!

My eyes widened as I ripped the shower curtain away from my face. It really was him.

His handsome face was flushed from the alcohol, but his expression was grim, his gaze sharp and hostile.

“What are you doing here?” I gasped. “I thought you went to my room to rest.”

“Took a wrong turn. Lucky for me, I did,” Steven said, trapping me completely between his body and the wall. He braced one hand beside my head, the other still gripping my wrist. He leaned in closer, his eyes like chips of ice. “Planning on making a fool out of me, were you?”

It made sense that Steven wouldn't know his way around my house; he'd never even been to my room before. I accepted his explanation quickly.

But his next words made me frown. “No, I’m here to take care of some business.”

His expression grew even darker. “And what kind of ‘business’ requires you to be in this room, about to get into bed with that man?”

“…”

My frown deepened. There was still a creep waiting outside the bathroom door, and he chose now to pick a fight?

“It’s none of your business. I have things to do, so you need to leave.”

Steven loosened his tie and rolled up his sleeves. Despite his flushed face, a cold sneer formed on his lips.

“Leave? So you and your lover can have the room to yourselves? Do I look that stupid to you?”

I could tell he wasn't in his right mind. Just as I was about to say something, a knock came from the other side of the door.

The man outside called, “Ms. Jones, what are you doing in there? I thought I heard you talking to someone.”
