“But if you ruin this for me, I swear I will raise hell at your family’s estate until no one knows a moment of peace. Do you hear me?”
Steven seemed to be considering something. Finally, with a dark, resentful look, he relented. Before he left, he grabbed my wrist.
“Don’t let him touch you. And you come find me afterward.”
I nodded frantically, pushing him toward the opening.
Once Steven was gone, the banging on the door resumed. My eyes hardened. I made a quick phone call, then pulled something from my pocket and opened the door.
I leaned against the doorframe, fixing my gaze on the fat man outside, and gave him a seductive smile.
“I like a man who can last. You should take something. If you have your own, fine. If not, you can have mine.”
The man’s face lit up, completely captivated. “I have some, I have some! I’ll take it now!”
As he scurried off to take his pill, my expression turned to ice. I quickly placed the object from my pocket in a corner of the room. When he returned, my smile was back in place, and I casually ran a hand through my hair.
“Draw the curtains, turn off the lights.”
He rushed to do as I said. I picked up a nearby vase and smashed it hard on the floor.
The crash was sharp and loud.
I quickly slipped out through the bathroom, opened the video feed app connected to the room, and watched.
The room was pitch-black. The fat man was fumbling around, calling for me anxiously.
Then, the door creaked open, and Janice’s confused voice whispered, “Zachary, are you okay?”
