I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 630

Downstairs in the kitchen.

The kind proprietor had let me use her private cooking space.

I went to the market just outside and bought some beef, tomatoes, seasonings, and noodles.

The money, of course, I'd borrowed from Gordon. I'd given all my earnings to Steven, so I was broke.

I don't have any memories of my past, but it felt like noodles were always delicious no matter how you cooked them, especially with a good sauce. All these ideas for how to prepare them were flooding my mind.

Maybe I used to cook? Was I a chef?

Why would Steven call me nothing but a pretty face?

To my surprise, David was also in the private kitchen.

He was trimming vegetables, and the discarded leaves he'd placed on the floor formed the lifelike shape of a person dancing.

"Wow, that's amazing!" I exclaimed.

David froze when he saw me, then quickly swept away his carefully arranged creation. "What are you doing in my mom's kitchen?"

"Making myself some food. It's better than eating out!"

David scoffed.

"You don't look like someone who struggles for money... you look like some rich kid. Why would you need to cook?"

I chuckled. "Do you have a problem with rich people or pretty people? You were annoyed with me this morning, and you're still annoyed with me now. We don't even know each other, do we?"

"If you're unhappy with your life, take it up with life, not with me."

David huffed but his attitude softened slightly.
