I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 704

A jolt went through Steven. The look on his handsome face turned grim.

“Her memory returning… is that your assessment, or…”

Gordon replied, “She admitted it herself, sir.”

Mr. Lancaster Sr. was also taken aback. He looked at Steven.

“What's meant to be will be. Go see her. If you can convince the girl to keep it, then do. If not… then let it be.”

He had never really expected his grandson and Zephyra to reconcile completely.

Their relationship had been a bitter, life-and-death struggle; why would she ever agree to keep his child?

Steven's throat felt tight. With a somber expression, he strode away.

Gordon started to follow, but Mr. Lancaster Sr. stopped him. “Let the two of them talk alone. If they're determined to fight, there's nothing we can do.”

After I finished speaking with the doctor, he left, and I managed to push myself up into a sitting position against the headboard.

Outside the window, the sky was dark and overcast, threatening a storm.

It blended with the sorrowful scenes from my dreams, which kept replaying in my mind.

Five lives, three pregnancies, and I lost the baby every single time.

This time, even without my intervention, would it survive?

Just then, the door swung open.

I looked up to see a woman with long, dark hair. Her face was haggard, her eyes red and swollen, looking just as terrible as I, the one who had just cheated death, must have looked.
