I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 752

Hearing this, Steven wasn't angry at all. In fact, the smile on his face deepened.

“I understand. From now on, we'll do this kind of thing at home.”

“…”

I was speechless. That's not what I meant at all!

“Steven, are you incapable of understanding plain English?!” I seethed, glaring at him.

Seeing I was genuinely angry, Steven finally dropped his smile and tried to placate me. “Alright, I was just teasing. Don't be mad. I was wrong.”

I glanced at the clear imprint of my hand on his cheek, and my anger subsided a little.

Just then, Gordon bowed slightly and interjected at the perfect moment. “Mr. Lancaster, ma'am, lunch is ready. Perhaps we should head home to eat.”

I hadn't felt hungry until Gordon mentioned it, but now I was suddenly starving. My appetite had grown quite a bit since I became pregnant.

I shot Steven a glare, pushed past him, and headed for the door.

Back at the house, Tess had a full spread waiting for us. I ate a hearty meal and finished with a bit of soup before putting down my utensils.

I felt much better after eating and sat on the sofa to relax. Steven went to his study.

Gordon poured me a glass of water. “Mr. Lancaster has an urgent international video conference he needs to handle.”

I gave him a confused look. “You don't need to tell me that.”

I snapped back to reality and looked at the dress properly. It was beautiful; the little rabbit pattern alone was enough to melt your heart, and the fabric was very soft.

But there was one fatal flaw: it was huge. In my past lives, I'd learned all about babies and knew exactly how big a newborn was. This dress was sized for a two-year-old.

I pulled out the other two outfits; they were about the same size, and all of them were for girls.

It seemed these clothes would have to be stored away until the baby was at least a year and a half old.

I couldn't help but frown. “No help from the sales staff, you said?”

Normally, if they'd just asked a few questions, they wouldn't have recommended this size.
