Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 151

Chapter 151 Mommy’s Little Tattletale

“Want touch.”

Nina’s complaints were still a jumbled mess, but Amelia could piece most of it together.

With Benjamin filling in a couple of details, she got the full picture.

Her face instantly tightened.

She was not happy.

Whenever she used to take Nina out to play, her biggest fear had always been running into bratty kids-and there were plenty of them.

Some kids loved to shove Nina down just because she walked over with a toy, wanting to share.

Others would straight-up snatch her little car while their parents did nothing.

The more Amelia thought about those kids, the angrier she got.

Sure, Nina could be naughty sometimes-she occasionally smacked the adults at home.

But outside? Nina never hit anyone without a reason!

Even without favoring her own child, Amelia was certain her daughter was much better-behaved than most kids.

William said, blaming himself, “Amelia, I’m sorry. It was my fault for not—”

Amelia cut him off, “William, no need to apologize. Things happen with kids. Please don’t blame yourself too much.”

Even when Amelia took Nina out herself, tiny accidents still happened.

She comforted William with a couple of sentences, then gently pulled Nina’s hands away to check her eyes.

Nina refused.

She slapped both chubby palms over her eyes and shook her head hard. “Mommy, no look! Don’t hit Nina’s eyes!”

For once, Nina managed a full sentence. Amelia followed her lead. “Who hit your eyes?”

Nina kept her hands up, but her fingers left little gaps. Amelia could see both swollen eyes clearly.

“Mommy… doctor hit. Hit lots. No hospital.”

Nina was blaming the wrong person again.

Amelia patiently corrected her, “Nina, the doctor didn’t hit your eyes. The doctor washed them with water, right?”

Nina nodded vigorously. “Wash eyes!”

She was too little-sometimes she mixed up what she meant and what she said.

Amelia never got mad at her for that.

You had dirt in your eyes. The doctor cleaned them. Doctors are good. Nina doesn’t have to be afraid of doctors, okay?”

Nina echoed like a tiny parrot, “Doctor good.”

She repeated it twice, then suddenly snapped back to reality and shook her head just as hard.

“No hospital.”

Even if doctors were good, she was never going back.

She knew hospitals meant shots or nasty medicine.

Zero good memories.

Maybe talking about hospitals scared her-Nina suddenly dropped her hands, stopped mentioning her eyes hurting, and reached up to squish Amelia’s cheeks instead. She giggled. “Mommy, play! Play crane truck!””

Nina had learned how to change the subject.

Amelia hadn’t played with the crane truck with her yet, so she took Nina to eat first

After everything today, Nina had to be starving.

Amelia guessed right. The moment food arrived, Nina didn’t dawdle like usual.

She shoveled in a surprising amount.

After lunch, Amelia held her hand and took her out to the backyard.

The yard was packed with kids’ playground equipment. Nina happily played by herself.

Amelia watched from the side, recording little videos. She posted them in the family group chat and also sent them to Alice.

Amelia had already called Alice. They’d even added each other on WhatsApp.

After sending the videos, Amelia filled Alice in on what happened today.

She added, “I need to watch her eyes for the next couple of days. Once they’re totally fine, we’ll bring her over to play.”

Amelia was totally okay with Alice taking Nina out.

She was just worried Alice might not have much baby experience, so she’d asked if she could come along.

Alice instantly agreed.

She even sent a blushing emoji and said she wanted to long out with Amelia, too.

These past two days, Amelia and Alice have been chatting nonstop.

They really clicked!
