Chapter 390 Enraged Them Completely

Chloe wanted to come, but Daniel wouldn’t let her make the trip. He told her to wait at the hospital.
William and Daniel rushed over instead.
The whole family was frantic with worry over Nina.
William was furious.
He’d lived abroad for many years in his youth and still had his own connections there.
He might not be based overseas anymore, but he was far from powerless.
Whoever did this is clearly too young and reckless.
Otherwise, they’d never dare.
William raced over, his heart set on his granddaughter. Meanwhile, Nina had no idea her grandfather was coming.
All Nina knew was that she’d been caught again.
Julie had put her in the car, and her chubby little body was once again unable to move.
“Nelson,” Nina said, tilting her head to look at the equally captured boy beside her. “Cacch Nina?”
Nelson’s face was tight, filled with frustration over his miscalculation.
He pressed his lips together and, in response to Nina’s question, apologized quietly. “Nina, sorry. I didn’t protect you.”
Though young, Nelson was more mature and responsible than most kids his age.
Protecting Nina had become an instinct for him.
But this time, he’d failed.
Now he felt stupid.
Seeing Nelson’s guilt, Nina blinked and tried to comfort him.
“Nelson, welcome,” she said, mixing up her words. “Nina no scare.”

Her attempt at comforting only made Nelson feel worse.
He regretted not finding Benjamin and Amelia sooner.
Or at least, he could have called Trevor then.
Nelson was used to being on his own, handling everything alone.
He’d forgotten he could rely on adults more, just like Nina did.
While Nelson was still beating himself up, Nina struggled against her bindings.
Unable to hug Nelson, she just leaned her little body as close as she could.
“Nelson, no scare,” she whispered. “Daddy come. Daddy save Nina.”
She was telling Nelson that Benjamin would rescue them.

In Nina’s mind, even though Benjamin sometimes tattled and got her spanked by Amelia, he was still the strongest, most capable person ever.
Every time she was in danger, Benjamin came to save her.
Every single time bad people took her, Benjamin showed up.
Nina had complete faith in Benjamin.
Her stubborn optimism slowly helped Nelson adjust his own mindset.
Julie ignored the quiet conversation from the back seat.
Soon, she brought them to the place where she was keeping Violet.
The location was very hidden.
It was precisely because it was so secluded that Julie wasn’t worried about being discovered.
She moved the two children inside.
Once inside, she reported to Xavier and asked how to handle the children.
Should she keep them locked up, or dispose of them?
Xavier paused for a couple of seconds before replying, “Keep them alive. They’re more valuable that way.”
He still had his wits about him, and he had a plan.

Getting Benjamin’s child had one purpose: to make Benjamin back off.
As long as Benjamin behaved and stayed out of his business, he wouldn’t harm Nina.
Xavier just wanted Violet-both her body and her heart.
“Watch them,” Xavier ordered finally. “From now on, stay out of sight.”
After giving Julie her final instructions, Xavier moved on to other arrangements.
He had someone call Benjamin.
