Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 450

Chapter 450 An Hour To Consider

Of course, Lester could choose not to drink.

Philip watched Nina a moment longer, his voice gentle. “You and Nina can continue staying here,he

offered. “I’d be delighted with that. I’ve really grown quite fond of this little one.”

Philip expressed an intense fondness for Nina.

This affection made Lester feel utterly sick.

Lester knew Philip wasn’t a pedophile. But in some ways, his depravity surpassed even that.

He was a true monster through and through. He had developed a genuine, malicious interest in Nina.

The two men were at a stalemate. The tense atmosphere was so thick that even Nina, who was sitting on Lester’s lap, felt it.

She tilted her head, reached out a small hand, and pushed the newly offered glass of water away, spilling it.

“No water,” she announced.

After having her play with the earlier cup interrupted, Nina wasn’t interested anymore. She didn’t want to play with it, and she didn’t want anyone else touching it either.

After she knocked the cup over, Philip looked at Nina–not with anger, but with increased interest.

Seeing the genuine delight in Philip’s eyes, Lester stood up, still holding Nina.

“I need some time to make this decision,” he said coolly. “I’ll come see you in one hour.”

Lester asked for an hour to consider.

Hearing he needed more time, a smile touched Philip’s lips.

“Lester, I thought you were without fear.” ·

So, even Lester had moments of cowardice.

The weakness Lester displayed pleased Philip immensely. He smiled, granting Lester the hour. He even generously gave him a bit of leeway,

“During this hour, you can make some requests,” Philip said, adopting a paternal tone. “As long

as your demands aren’t unreasonable, I’ll grant them, my boy. Think carefully about what you’d like to eat or see.”

With that fatherly act complete, Philip left, a smile still on his lips.

Once Philip was gone, Lester took Nina back to their room.

Back in the room, he called Benjamin. He had already checked the room; it was secure.

In the call, Lester told Benjamin to prepare for a forced entry.

But the Lester she called for was in no position to answer. He was already locked in a fierce confrontation with Philip.

Lester had taken some hits, but he didn’t retreat. His goal was clear: eliminate Philip.

While Philip was obsessed with getting rid of him, he failed to realize Lester felt exactly the same way.

As the adults battled dangerously, Nina, trapped in the storage closet, couldn’t open the door no matter how hard she tried.

Eventually, she sat down by the door, tilted her chubby face up, and wept heartbrokenly.

“Mommy,” she sobbed. “Nina scared.”

Her crying only made Amelia more frantic. But Amelia couldn’t teleport to Nina’s side–she had no superpowers to do that.

She could only force herself to stay calm and keep trying to comfort Nina.

“Nina, sweetheart, don’t cry. Look at Mommy,” Amelia said, trying to distract her. “Mommy is so close to you now. We’ll be home soon. When we get home, what do you want to eat? Do you want to go to the playground? We can go down the slide, okay?”

Amelia used other topics to pull Nina’s attention away from her fear.

Slowly, under her mother’s gentle coaxing, Nina’s cries began to lessen.

But before she could fully stop, her sobs suddenly intensified again.
