Chapter 516 Something Was Up
“Wait, wait a second.” William stopped her at once. “Nina, don’t climb up. You still haven’t finished your food.”
Nina stopped swallowing the food in her mouth.
William already had a hard time feeding her, and if she got on the bed to play with Chloe, it would be even harder.
Chloe smiled when she saw William holding the plate, “Dad, why are you chasing her to eat again? That’s not a good habit.”
William sighed helplessly, “I know it’s not. But she won’t eat properly if I don’t feed her.”
Chloe said, “Just let her skip a meal or two. She’ll learn.”
She loved Nina, but she agreed with Amelia’s way of thinking-if the kid didn’t want to eat, she could go hungry.
William could never bear to let Nina starve, though.
Even skipping one meal made him upset.
“Alright, I’m not arguing with you. You should go out less,” William said “You just got back not long ago, and you’re already wanting to run around again.”
William spoke as if he were stopping Chloe, but he never really held her back.
He never stood in the way of his kids chasing what they wanted.
Of course, when Daniel had chased thrills and bad habits before, that had to be stopped.
Chloe said, “Okay, Dad, I got it.”
After answering William, she leaned over and kissed Nina’s chubby cheek.
Chloe said softly, “Nina, go play somewhere else. I want to sleep a little more.”
Nina heard Chloe was going back to sleep and walked away quietly.
She wandered around the house and finally finished her meal.
Benjamin and Amelia were eating in the living room by then.
William knew they had work to do later, so he didn’t make them take Nina to daycare.
He grabbed Nina’s backpack and prepared to drop her off himself.
Nina was extra excited to go out because of the heavy rain.
William had brought her a small umbrella, a tiny raincoat, and little rain boots.

Chapter 516 Something Was Up
Nina couldn’t wait to play in the rain.
William coaxed her to go play with her friends first.
Nina walked into Sunbeam Daycare full of energy.
She called out, “Jerry! Dulce! Rain! Play?”
Nina invited her friends to go play in the rain. Lucy saw the pouring rain and quickly comforted her.
Lucy said, “Nina, let’s wait until the rain calms down, okay? It’s pouring really hard and windy right now. The wind might blow you away if you go out. We’ll play when it stops blowing. You’re such a good girl-can you promise me that?”
She spoke sweetly to Nina, and Nina agreed nicely.
She nodded, then sat down on a small stool and turned to Jerry. “Jerry, look!”
Jerry asked, “What?”
Nina grinned and pulled out the big bug Tanner had given her a few days before.
She babbled, “Buggies! Mine! Un-coo Tanner give!”
Nina remembered exactly who’d given her the bug.
She held it out, and Jerry wasn’t scared at all.
But Dulce burst into tears-she was terrified of bugs.
Lucy felt like crying, too; she hated bugs just as much.
She stammered, “Nina, why… why did you bring a bug here?”
Nina, asked by Lucy, tried to show the bug to her.
But every step she took forward, Lucy stepped three steps back.
Nina thought Lucy was playing a game with her and giggled.
She trotted toward her.
Lucy panicked and whispered, “Sally, help!”
She called for Sally urgently.
Luckily, Sally wasn’t scared of bugs. She bravely stepped in front of Lucy.
Sally said, “Nina, put the bug away, please. We don’t allow bugs at daycare. I told you that before, remember? Look, Dulce is crying because of it.”
After Sally’s reminder, Nina turned and looked at Dulce.
Nina and Dulce were great friends.
