No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 620

Claudia awkwardly ran a hand through her hair, trying to cover her burning ears. Even though Gideon said he was joking, she was not oblivious to his clear attempt to test the waters. They were both doctors and never ran out of things to talk about whenever they met. Gideon was a man of integrity, from a good family, with an even better personality.

Unfortunately, for her right now, pursuing a career was more appealing than pursuing a man. She didn't want to waste her time and energy on something as fleeting as romance.

Not far away, Ethan stared blankly as Claudia and Gideon drove off, his grip on the shopping bags tightening.

Even in a foreign country, Gideon was taking good care of her. He booked her a hotel closest to the hospital, flew over to shop for clothes with her when the weather turned cold, and could thoughtfully kneel to tie her shoelaces. Even his confession was delivered as a joke, putting no pressure on Claudia.

Seeing the dark expression on his boss's face, Mark quickly took the bags and placed them in the trunk.

Ethan leaned against the car door, his body slightly hunched as a dull ache spread through his chest.

Even someone like Gideon, who had never been in a relationship, knew that once you had a girlfriend, you shouldn't tie another woman's shoelaces. He knew that a wife was someone to be cherished and pampered. Yet, Claudia had been married to him for three years, and he had disregarded her feelings and done so many things to hurt her.

He didn't deserve Claudia's love. He didn't deserve her forgiveness.

At two in the afternoon, Claudia had just returned to her hotel room when several staff members arrived, carrying dozens of shopping bags, large and small.

The lead staff member said, "Miss Watkins, a Mr. Ferguson asked us to deliver these to your room."

Claudia couldn't help but frown.

Mr. Ferguson?

For the past two days, Ethan had been messaging her in the morning and video-calling her at night. She was getting annoyed, so today she had rejected his call and hadn't looked at his messages.
