Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 866

At Ivy’s words, the disdainful looks from the crowd intensified, all directed toward Emily.

Emily’s face flushed a deep crimson. "Regardless... we are still cousins," she stammered, her confidence clearly waning. "I was immature in the past, but I’ve grown up now. Of course I wanted to get justice for you."

Ivy looked at her with a mocking sneer. "Enough. Stop acting—it’s pathetic. We’ve loathed each other for over a decade. Now you’ve suddenly 'matured' and want to fight for my justice? Truly remarkable. Do you not feel the slightest bit of guilt saying that out loud?"

Ivy paused, her eyes sharpening. "If I had to guess, you like Cameron yourself. That’s why you posted those lies to frame Elsie."

The cafeteria erupted into an uproar.

"My god, this is insane! So it turns out she had a crush on her cousin’s boyfriend and came up with all these dirty tricks?"

"Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing. Thinking back on how self-righteous she was earlier while attacking Elsie... I’m embarrassed for her."

"I’m telling you, Emily and Elsie have always been at odds. Elsie outshines her in everything—grades, popularity, you name it. When she found out the man she wanted had become Elsie’s boyfriend, she probably just snapped."

"That’s beyond wicked. Trying to destroy a girl’s reputation just because of a guy? She’s completely unhinged."

Elsie gave a sharp laugh. "Fine. Since you’re so certain, why don’t you look Cameron in the eye right now and say the words: 'I do not like you.' If you can do that, I’ll believe you were just a misguided cousin trying to help."

"I..." Emily was suddenly struck dumb. The words died in her throat. She had harbored these feelings for so long; if she denied them now, wouldn't she be throwing away any future chance she might have?

Elsie didn't let up. "Go on. What’s the matter? I’m giving you the floor. You were so loud a second ago about not liking him, so why can’t you say it now? It seems Ivy was right after all. You framed me because you want him for yourself."

Elsie stepped closer, her voice cutting through the silence. "Based on what your cousin said, I bet you liked him from the moment you saw him. You stayed quiet back then because he was dating Ivy, but once they broke up, you thought your time had finally come. When I 'beat' you to it, you couldn't handle the resentment and started those rumors. Honestly, Emily, I’m impressed. The lengths you’d go to over a man are truly something else."
