The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 125

But Elias didn't stop his assessment, his eyes moving lower.

This must be what it felt like to be flayed alive, Victoria thought.

His grip was incredibly strong. She couldn't break free and could only swallow her anger. "Elias, what in the world are you trying to do?"

Elias's gaze finally settled on her right hand. As if remembering something, his dark eyes hardened. Without a word, he dragged her toward the sink.

*Whoosh!*

He turned the faucet on full blast, forcing Victoria's hand under the stream. He began scrubbing the back of her hand with his thumb, and soon, her fair skin was red and stinging.

"Ouch!"

Victoria cried out in pain. Seizing a moment of distraction, she yanked her hand back and retreated.

Elias's face was grim. "Give me your hand."

Victoria found him utterly baffling and was starting to get angry herself. "Elias, Mr. Shawn, even if you hate me, even if you can't stand the sight of me, you could just say so. You don't have to bully me like this, do you?"

Bully her?

She thought he was bullying her?

Elias thought of the kiss Tammie had placed on the back of her hand, and an overwhelming irritation washed over him.

When another man kissed her, didn't she even know how to pull away?

Or did she think that just because she'd signed the divorce papers, she was a free woman who could openly flirt with other men right in front of him?

The more he thought about it, the more imposing and terrifying he became.

"Victoria, I'll say it one more time. Give me your hand."

Victoria remained silent.

She hid her hand behind her back and retreated step by step until she reached the door, ready to push it open and leave.

"If you dare take one step out that door, I will break your legs," Elias said, his eyes fixed on her coldly.

Victoria stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes widening in disbelief.

Elias closed the distance between them. "Victoria, our divorce papers haven't been finalized yet. If I find out you've been unfaithful during our marriage, I don't mind becoming a widower."

Victoria's face paled, and her heart sank.

She knew he was serious.

Unfaithful during the marriage…

He was the one who had been unfaithful. How dare he accuse her?

Seeing that she had stopped resisting, Elias grabbed her hand and pulled her back to the sink, resuming his scrubbing.

Victoria didn't know how long he washed her hand, only that he used nearly half a bottle of soap.

At first, it hurt. Then the water felt cold. Finally, her hand just went numb.

At last, Elias seemed satisfied and let her go. "Victoria, as long as we don't have that divorce certificate, you are still Mrs. Shawn. Keep your wandering eyes to yourself."

Victoria looked at him, her expression placid. She said nothing.
