The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 154

Elias's gaze hardened instantly. He grabbed her wrist. "Gen, do you have any idea what you're doing!"

"I do," Genevieve said, her eyes red as she made her intentions bare. "Elias, I love you… This was supposed to happen two years ago. Elias, I want you."

Without further hesitation, she pressed herself against him.

Elias's brow furrowed. Heat crawled under his skin.

Just as Genevieve was about to kiss him, he turned his head to avoid her. He swallowed hard, fighting to choke back the surge of heat roaring through him. "Gen, calm down."

Genevieve's kiss landed on empty air. She secretly gritted her teeth.

She couldn't believe that even after all this, Elias remained unmoved.

She raised her other hand, her fair fingertips tracing circles on his chest. "Elias, don't you want me? I know you do, don't you? Elias… don't hold back. I'm willing to give myself to you."

Elias was no inexperienced boy.

The sudden surge of heat in his body was clearly not normal.

He held himself in check, tension carving hard lines into his face as he ground out, "Gen, you're injured. You need to rest."

The next moment, he forcefully pulled his arm away, shaking Genevieve off, and strode out of the room.

*Bang!*

The door slammed shut.

Genevieve collapsed onto the bed in disbelief. A long moment later, she heard the front door open and close again. Only then did it truly sink in that Elias was gone.

Elias had just left her there!

She turned to look at the sex-drug candle, her eyes filled with a sinister fury. The wanting he'd stirred up and the sting of being left there twisted together inside her, building into a storm that threatened to swallow her whole.

How could this be!

How was this possible!

Wasn't this stuff supposed to make anyone who breathed it in lose control? She'd lit it on purpose before heading to the Vale place, all so Elias would walk right into her trap, lose his head, and end up in her bed whether he meant to or not

Why didn't it work!

"Aaargh!" Genevieve screamed, hurling the sex-drug candle against the wall.

With a sharp crack, it shattered on the floor, sending fragments flying everywhere.

Inside the Maybach.

Hawk saw Elias emerge and immediately went to meet him. But as he got closer, he caught the strong scent of the sex-drug candle on Elias and sensed that something was wrong. He voiced his concern.

"Mr. Shawn, you…"

Elias yanked his tie loose, his breathing slightly heavy. "Get in the car."
