The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 171

Victoria's eyes were bloodshot, her own words echoing in her ears.

'If you hadn't insisted on investigating what happened two years ago, why would Grady be dead?'

'Victoria, you killed your brother.'

'Victoria, you'll never find any proof.'

Every word was a knife twisting in Victoria's heart, the pain causing her to tremble uncontrollably.

She advanced on Genevieve Vale, tears blurring her vision.

"Why…" Victoria's gaze suddenly turned vicious. She grabbed Genevieve by the throat, her voice low and tight, the hateful, trembling words forced through gritted teeth. "GENEVIEVE, HOW DARE YOU!"

"You hate me, you want to kill me, so why didn't you come for me! Why did you go after my brother! He treated you like a sister! How could you do it!"

"Genevieve! What are you so afraid of?!"

Mr. Flint and Saul Flint's faces paled. If Victoria didn't stop, she was going to kill Genevieve.

If Genevieve died in front of everyone, Victoria wouldn't be able to escape the consequences.

"Miss Sanger, let go!" they pleaded, trying to pull the two women apart.

But Victoria's grip was like a vice; she couldn't hear their pleas.

Genevieve's eyes widened. As Victoria's grip tightened, she felt the air being squeezed from her lungs.

She clawed at Victoria's hands, struggling to speak. "I… I didn't. Victoria, I didn't kill Grady—"

"Still lying!"

Seven days of agonizing restraint had pushed Victoria to her breaking point. Genevieve's sickening display of innocence was the final straw. "Genevieve, you never should have touched my family!" she erupted, her voice raw with grief. Her grip tightened like a vice, cutting off the other woman's air. "Today, I'm sending you right where you sent my brother!"

Genevieve's vision started to blacken, and fear finally took root. She thrashed wildly. "Victoria…"

Mr. Flint's expression was frantic.

Suddenly, Elias broke through the crowd, striding forward. His large hand seized Victoria's wrist and squeezed, hard.

A sharp pain, as if her wrist bone was being crushed, shot up her arm. Victoria's strength vanished, and at the same time, Genevieve gasped and crumpled to the floor.

Seeing red, Victoria ignored Elias in front of her and lunged for Genevieve again.

Elias's eyes darkened as he gripped her wrist. "Victoria!"

Genevieve, pale and shaken, scrambled backward as Victoria approached. She glanced at the man, shaking her head with an innocent, pitiful look. "Victoria, Grady's death really had nothing to do with me…"

Victoria, eyes blazing, looked up at the man's cold, handsome face and tried to pull her hand back. "Elias Shawn, don't stop me. I'm begging you."
