As he spoke, Hawk felt the man's icy gaze on him, and a chill ran down his spine.

"If things continue like this, the topic might," he paused, then forced himself to continue his report, "it might become impossible to keep down."

"Hawk, I didn't let you in here to listen to this nonsense." Elias's face was dark, his presence terrifying. "I have no use for incompetents. If you can't suppress it, you can clear out your desk along with the rest of that garbage in the PR department."

Hawk stiffened, his expression shifting.

Early that morning, when Victoria's name had shot to the top of the trending list, Elias had immediately ordered the PR department to handle it. But after half an hour, the topic had only gotten hotter.

Elias's brow remained tightly furrowed, his expression not softening in the slightest. "Continue," he said coldly.

"We traced the original video to an anonymous account. The IP address is overseas. I've already sent a team to that location to investigate further. If all goes well, that should be where Rose is hiding."

"As soon as they find her, they'll bring her back immediately. As for Abbey, whom you previously asked us to investigate..."

Hawk hesitated before speaking again, placing a file on the desk. "This woman disappeared right after Grady's accident. There's no trace of her at any airports, hospitals, or subway stations in or around The Imperial Capital. It's possible something happened to her as well."
