The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 303

Henry cried out in pain.

He flew backward like a rag doll, crashing hard onto the floor. The impact made him curl into a ball, clutching his stomach and groaning nonstop.

The sharp pain momentarily cleared his head, and he got a good look at the person who had attacked him.

It was Elias!

He knew how ruthless Elias could be. Anyone who fell into his hands ended up dead or maimed. He absolutely could not let himself be caught!

Henry spat out a mouthful of blood, shot a venomous glare at Genevieve, and forced himself to his feet. He turned and ran for his life in the opposite direction.

Elias’s dark eyes narrowed.

He’d had Hawk searching for Henry for so long, and now the man had the audacity to show up so blatantly, walking right into his line of fire.

Elias’s face was grim, a vein throbbing on his forehead as he roared, “Hawk! Go after him!”

“Yes, sir!” Hawk, who had just rushed over without understanding the situation, immediately responded to the order. He and the bodyguards took off in the direction Henry had fled.

Genevieve glanced in the direction Henry had run, her lashes lowering slightly. Her hands, propped on the floor, tightened, and a faint, almost imperceptible smirk touched her lips.

But it vanished as quickly as it appeared. She turned her tear-filled eyes to the man whose expression was unreadable and whispered, “Elias…”

“Can you stand?” Elias’s gaze deepened as he extended a hand.

Genevieve bit her lip, her voice soft and weak, as if she were still in shock. “I’ll try,” she said with a sob.

She placed her hand in his and slowly began to rise.

Halfway up, she suddenly gasped, lost her footing, and fell into Elias’s arms.

Elias instinctively raised his hands to push her away.

But Genevieve pulled back on her own, her eyes red. “I’m sorry, I… I think I twisted my ankle.”

As she spoke, she swayed again, looking as if she were about to fall.
