The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 332

Victoria was slightly taken aback. "...Tobias," she murmured.

Tobias gently placed the tray on the nightstand. Noticing the corners of her eyes were tinged with red, he gently ruffled her hair as if coaxing a child and said softly, "Mr. Flint said you haven't eaten all day. You need to eat something, okay?"

Victoria bit her lip, wanting to say she had no appetite until she saw Garnett wake up.

As if reading her mind, Tobias added in his gentle voice, "Even if you're not thinking about yourself, you have to think about the baby. Even if you can't eat much, have a little. Don't let him go hungry, alright?"

At his words, Victoria subconsciously placed a hand on her stomach and looked up, meeting Tobias's concerned gaze.

First Garnett's accident, then Grady's condition. The successive, sudden blows had left Victoria almost no time to breathe or process everything. She had nearly forgotten that she wasn't alone anymore.

She could go without food, but the baby inside her couldn't wait.

Victoria paused for a moment, then nodded. "Okay."

Victoria managed to force down half a plate of food. As she watched the time tick by with no sign of Garnett waking, her heart burned with anxiety, and she couldn't eat another bite.

Seeing this, Tobias didn't push her. He knew she was afraid Garnett wouldn't wake up, just like Grady. "I've reviewed Mr. Sanger's resuscitation records," he comforted her. "There were no major issues. Victoria, don't worry too much. It's not good for you or the baby."

Her brows knitted together. "But the doctor said dad would wake up tonight. It's almost eleven o'clock..."

"What the doctor said was just an estimate. Every patient's physical condition is different, so the time it takes for them to wake up will vary."

After speaking, Tobias's gaze shifted to the still-unconscious Garnett, and his brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.

Although he said that, he also found it strange. Garnett's treatment had been timely, and all his vitals were normal. He had been unconscious for over ten hours; by all rights, he should have woken up by now.
