The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 365

“Oh, right, look at my memory, I forgot to tell you. Since I just got out, I need a fresh start from head to toe. So, Elias contacted a photography team to take some new portraits for us.”

Us?

Victoria keenly caught that word, a hint of resistance in her tone. “I have to be in them too?”

“Of course. Not just you, Elias is joining too.” With that, Garnett and Mr. Flint followed Hawk out of the room.

Victoria’s lips formed a straight line, her fine brows knitting together. She had the strange feeling that the more she tried to draw a line between herself and Elias, the more entangled they became.

This feeling of being unable to break free was infuriating.

“Elias, you…”

Victoria turned around, opening her mouth to ask Elias why he had suddenly arranged a photoshoot for Garnett, what he was really up to, and what it would take for him to just stay away from her father.

However, before the words could leave her lips, she saw that Elias had stepped out onto the balcony.

He was holding his phone to his ear with his left hand, his right hand half-stuffed in his pocket. A small section of the gauze wrapped around his palm was visible, the dried blood on it having turned a dark brown, looking particularly jarring in the sunlight.

Victoria’s thoughts were instantly pulled back to the scene at the supermarket, where Elias had shielded her in his arms, taking the brunt of the falling bottles and cans.

Her gaze tightened slightly. She said nothing more and turned to leave the room.

On the balcony, Elias seemed to be listening intently to the head of the legal department report on the progress of Grady's case, but his peripheral vision was tracking Victoria’s every move inside.

When he saw her leave, his eyes darkened.

“That’s all for now. We’ll discuss the rest when I’m back at the company.”

“…Yes, sir,” the department head replied from the other end of the line.

Elias hung up and walked back into the room. As he reached the living area, he saw Victoria walk in carrying a first-aid kit.

Seeing Elias standing there, Victoria’s steps faltered almost imperceptibly. She then placed the kit on the coffee table, opened it, and took out a roll of medical gauze, iodine, and antiseptic ointment.
