The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 372

Thump.

Thump.

Victoria stared at the email on the screen, her heart pounding like a runaway horse, the chaotic rhythm thundering in her ears.

She clicked the email open. Inside was just a single, short sentence—"Go find Abbey."

There was also a compressed file in the attachments. The moment Victoria touched the download button, a password prompt popped up.

Victoria tried entering a few passwords, but every one of them was incorrect.

She bit her lower lip, her gaze lingering on the short message for a moment before she quickly forwarded the email to Saul, asking him to check the IP address and the exact time the scheduled email was sent.

Around noon, Saul called her back.

"Miss Sanger, I had the tech department look into it. The email was sent by Mr. Sanger near the southern highway entrance in Brentwood, about an hour before he returned to the capital."

"Also, you asked me to contact the lawyer defending Abbey to see if we could arrange a meeting. The lawyer just got back to me. You can go with him to the detention center tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. as his assistant."

"Okay, I understand."

Victoria stood on the balcony, her gaze drifting into the distance. After ending the call, she fell into deep thought.

The fact that Grady would send her such a specific email meant he must have sensed some danger at the time. The contents of the attachment were likely the evidence related to the Sanger Group incident from two years ago.

What surprised Victoria slightly was that Grady would link the password for the evidence to Abbey.

It seemed a meeting with Abbey was unavoidable.

At three in the afternoon.

Hawk appeared punctually in front of her apartment building.

As soon as Victoria stepped out of the building, the all-too-familiar Maybach came into view.
