The Best Revenge It Wasn't Even Your Child novel Chapter 336

Ableson chatted with Lance for a bit, then left the whole Green family marriage thing up to him. When he walked back inside, he handed the phone to Sophia.

The nanny wasn’t coming until tomorrow, so that night Lorinda and Jasper crashed at Catherine’s place again.

It was almost midnight when Lorinda’s voice floated down from upstairs. “Catherine, what’s with all the tossing and turning?”

Catherine had been trying to keep her breathing quiet, but now she let it out. She sat up and glanced up at the loft, using the moonlight to see.

“I don’t know, I just feel weirdly anxious.”

“What’s there to be anxious about?” Lorinda got up, climbed down the stairs barefoot, and slid right into bed next to Catherine. “We’re out of Cabinda, everyone knows about the pregnancy now, and Lance hasn’t noticed a thing. What’s left to worry about?”

“Come on, lie down. I’ll stay with you.” Lorinda patted the pillow. “You always say new moms need support, but honestly, pregnant women do too. You’re almost in your third trimester and your hormones are all over the place. It’s normal to feel down. Don’t stress. I’m here.”

Catherine lay back and let Lorinda’s voice wash over her.

“I’ve got everything planned. Once the nanny comes, I’ll start getting the livestream set up again. I want to decorate the studio, get some new equipment…”
