When Catherine walked in, Letty was already waiting for her in the private room.
“Catherine, you won’t believe who I just saw,” Letty whispered, glancing toward the room next door. “Guess who Sebastian’s meeting with.”
Catherine set down her bag and took a seat. “Who?”
“He was supposed to meet a friend, but somehow it turned into Sally. She just walked in, and she’s visibly pregnant.”
Letty had only met Sally once, but it was enough to leave an impression.
Catherine’s eyes flickered, her plans to bump into Sebastian by “accident” suddenly thrown off.
Now, things were different.
“Stay here for me,” Catherine said, standing up. “No matter what happens, don’t come over.”
She headed straight for the next room.
The door was half open, and Sally’s voice drifted out.
“I never would have introduced her if I’d known what kind of person she is. I looked into her after, found out she’s pregnant with someone’s baby, and she’s desperate to find a dad. She even tried to hook up with her boss, the heir of the James family…”
Catherine was the “her” in Sally’s story.
“This is just too much. I have a meeting with Lance this afternoon, and I’m going to make him explain himself. How could SilverLeaf Industries let a woman like that climb so high?”
Sebastian was so angry he hadn’t slept the whole night.
It didn’t even matter if Sally was telling the truth. Catherine and Sebastian had only met once, just yesterday, but Sebastian was already acting like they were about to get married.
