The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 804

The woman's eyes darted away shiftily. "Never seen him," she muttered, brushing past them and hurrying into the crowd.

They asked three more people. Every single one had the same evasive reaction.

You'd have to be an idiot not to realize the club staff—and even the regulars—were covering something up.

Frustrated, Judie intercepted a man who looked like the floor manager. "Listen, this is an emergency. We need to see your security footage right now."

The manager looked them up and down, offering a plastic, insincere smile. "I apologize, miss, but due to the exclusive nature of our establishment, we respect our clients' privacy. Our security footage is strictly confidential."

Yvonne was trembling with anxiety. For the past thirty minutes, they had been running around like headless chickens. Milford had seemingly vanished into thin air.

"My brother's last known location was here! If he disappeared from your club, it means something happened to him on your watch!" Yvonne yelled. "If you don't help us, we're calling the police. You'll have to hand the tapes over to them anyway!"

Given how bizarrely everyone was acting—from the bouncer to the manager to the patrons—Yvonne was certain the club was involved. If Milford was fine, they would just show them the tape to get rid of them. The stonewalling proved something was wrong.

She wasn't bluffing. She was ready to dial 911.
