The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 805

"Leilani..."

Hearing that calm, familiar voice broke the last of Yvonne's composure.

"I think something horrible happened to him. Judie and I are at the club where he was last seen. We asked everyone, but they all swear they haven't seen him, and management refuses to let us see the security tapes. The tracker proves he was here. They're covering it up because whatever happened... happened here."

The terrifying reality that Milford was missing, and possibly in grave danger, finally hit her. A quiet sob tore from her throat.

"Leilani... is there any way you can..."

Yvonne wanted to ask if Leilani had any high-level contacts who could force the club to talk. Given the wealthy and powerful patients Leilani had treated, someone had to owe her a favor. Or better yet, Callahan. With his immense influence, if he wanted to find someone in this city, he could do it in minutes.

But the second the words left her mouth, Yvonne felt a stab of guilt. She shouldn't be dragging Leilani into this. Leilani and Callahan were engaged now. It was incredibly selfish to ask her to use her fiancé's resources to track down her ex-fiancé.

Yet, blind panic and fear had a chokehold on her. She gripped her phone, agonizingly waiting for Leilani's response.

On the other end of the line, silence stretched for a few heavy seconds.
