Power of Money novel Chapter 144

So cold...

In the dark, Jason curled up his body.

His last trace of consciousness remained at the moment when he rolled down from the mountain.

He was holding onto Lusa's hand, and the two of them rolled down the mountain with gravel and mud. At the last moment, he saw Lusa falling on him, followed by infinite darkness.

After spacing out for a minute, Jason could feel that his body was very sore. He couldn't help but open his mouth and let out a long groan.

But then, his body was slowly enveloped by warmth.

"Lusa, is that you?"

Jason opened his mouth with difficulty, but the answer to him was an endless silence.

"Lusa Chou?"

Jason couldn't help calling softly again.

"Yes, it's me, Young Master. Are you okay?"

Finally, Jason heard Lusa's voice and heaved a sigh of relief.

"I'm fine. What about you? How are you?"

In the dark, Jason couldn't see anything. He could only feel that a delicate body was holding him in her arms. Although the smell of soil filled his nose, he could faintly smell the fragrance from the girl's body.

"I'm fine as well, but it seems that the situation outside is not very positive. Young Master, you should be mentally prepared."

Lusa had always been an optimistic person. No matter how serious things got in the hospital, he had never heard her voice tremble.

"Alright, let me go first. I'm fine."

Feeling her slowly release his body, Jason sat up with the help of Lusa. Immediately, a dazzling light broke through the darkness and illuminated the scene in front of him.

A cave.

It was narrow and damp.

He was surrounded by a thick layer of mud that had rushed in, it was over his feet.

However, the position where he was lying should have been cleaned up by Lusa. Although there was a thin layer of mud, it was fine.

"Is the entrance to the cave sealed?" After checking out their current situation, Jason turned his head and looked in the direction of the light.

At this moment, the small entrance of the cave was tightly covered by several huge stones, and soil mixed with rain was constantly flowing in through the crevices. The sound of the rain outside the cave was deafening.

"Fortunately, I found this cave. In less than a minute, the hillside we rolled down collapsed, and then the entrance was sealed," Lusa said, lingering fear in her voice.

"Thank you."

Jason turned his head and saw Lusa turn away in a hurry to face the other side.

"What's wrong?"

Jason frowned and reached out his hand to hold Lusa's cheek.

"Don't, don't look..."

Although Lusa refused, Jason insisted. A cut on her face, caused by gravel, came into Jason's sight.

"I thought it was serious. It's just a small wound. You don't even dare to look at me now because of that?"

Jason smiled, then looked at it carefully and said, "It's okay. It's just some skin trauma. When we go back, I'll get the hospital to arrange the best plastic surgeon for you. You just need a little treatment. It's fine."

"Really?" Lusa asked in disbelief.

"Of course. I have been in the hospital for so long. I gained so much medical knowledge that I'm almost a doctor. I can see that it's a small issue. It's okay. Don't worry." Jason comforted her with a smile.

At the same time, his heart was in a mess.

Fortunately, in the dark, Lusa did not see the change in Jason's eyes. As soon as she calmed down, she said with some loneliness, "Master Qin, we may have lost contact with the outside world."

"Lost contact?" Jason frowned.

"Yes, your cell phone broke when we fell. You can't turn it on now. Although my cell phone is fine, there is no signal in the cave, so we can't contact people outside." Lusa explained.

"Broken?" Jason then noticed that the mobile phone parts lying on the ground were from his phone. He couldn't help but curse, "This lousy phone cost over ten thousand? I won't buy this d*mn brand again in the future."

"But don't worry, Master Qin. I believe that when your two classmates escape from the mountain and deliver the news to the police station, the police will come to save us." Lusa whispered to comfort him.
