Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled novel Chapter 121

I suddenly let go of Neil's hand, glaring at him coldly, "This has nothing to do with you. You better take care of your girlfriend. If you keep chasing after me like this, she might cry."

Neil glanced at Bonnie who was not far away, but he didn't go back.

Seeing this, Simmons pulled me behind him and warned sternly, "Neil, there's something you need to understand. You and her are divorced. You have no relation anymore. What right do you have to question her? Who she's with is none of your business."

"I'll make it my business. What are you gonna do about it?" Neil's words were clearly provocative.

I remembered the quarrel between them, and I was the one who got hurt in the end.

I didn't want to play the fool again.

"Neil, Simmons is right. We have nothing to do with each other anymore. I don't want to have any interaction with you. That's it." After saying these words, I left with Simmons.

Simmons's car was not far away. After having lunch in his car, I patted my belly in satisfaction.

I thanked Simmons for what happened just now. He at least helped me save face. Otherwise, as his ex-wife, it would be really awkward.

"No worries, I'm happy to help." Simmons took the lunch box I finished, gently saying, "You should rest for a while in the car before going back to work."

I adjusted the passenger seat to the most comfortable position, set an alarm, and began to rest, "I really want to take a nap."

"Okay." Simmons replied.

Now that I was pregnant, I fell asleep super fast. I suspect that I'm going to have a super sleepy and hungry little one.

Half an hour later, the alarm went off on time. I got up groggily, stretched lazily, and found that Simmons had also fallen asleep.

I quietly opened the car door, got out, and closed it.

As I walked past a red BMW, I took an extra glance, wondering if Bonnie had accepted it.

"It's obvious that Neil spoils her." Kate, sitting next to me at work in the afternoon, suddenly said.

I didn't respond, just focusing on my work.

"I heard that you pursued Neil for five years before marrying him. Why are you so willing to divorce now?" Kate asked again.

"Don't you know Neil? Why don't you ask him?" I was a bit impatient, "It's work time now. I don't want to talk about personal matters."

Kate's face turned a little cold, but she stopped asking.

After work, I drove to the supermarket, bought some fruits and hurried home.

The neighborhood was a bit dark tonight. I asked the property management and found out that some wires needed to be repaired, but it didn't affect the electricity supply at home. I carried the fruits, looked at the stopped elevator, and had no choice but to climb the stairs.

The sensor lights in the stairway still worked, so I climbed slowly.

When I reached the second floor, I suddenly saw a figure there, but before I could see who it was, the sensor light went out and it was dark.

I was scared and was about to make some noise to turn on the sensor light when someone suddenly grabbed my wrist and pulled me into their arms.
