REJECTED LUNA AND THE MONSTER'S SON novel Chapter 3

Eight months later,

There were a lot of women in the same hospital room I was in. I saw a lot of people come visit their loved ones that had recently been put to bed; there were ripples of excitement all over them. Loved ones came and took away the pains the woman went through while giving birth.-

Loved ones came to appreciate the mother and the child; unfortunately, no one came for me; no loved one visited me; no one cared about me and my son; they all abandoned me even though I am a first-time mom. How can a family abandon their own child over falling into pregnancy with someone who isn't her mate? What sort of stupid tradition is this? I feel so lonely; my world is crumbling apart.

Even the woman opposite me told me her partner abandoned her; her parents took her in and took good care of her.

The hospital workers, especially the midwives, showed no mercy to me. They all treated me less. I was able to get a few things before my delivery with the money I saved from my father.

"Don't touch her; don't touch that rogue whore," one of the midwives said to her colleague. It is very difficult to not worry over the way they treated me; they would bathe other babies but wouldn't bathe mine.

What hurts me the most is that, as the Alpha's daughter, the supposed Luna of my father's pack, I am now an object of Mockery; my title was stripped off; I cannot step my foot into our territory except by hiding; all this just because of a one-night sex, an experience I hold no grid on.

Clicking her tongue while clattering the pair of scissors in her hands, she gazed at my little Leo and said, "He is so pretty."

She brought out the thermometer from the tray to check my baby. She is beautiful with her curly long hair and a bluish eye color.

"Who is the father of the child?" How about your parents? I have relatives I haven't seen since I resumed work today."

She is the first nurse who has shown a little concern for me and my baby.

A few minutes later, the mean nurse came to us. Apart from her frowning, old-wrinkled face, she had an ugly dentition, with her canines all very long and not equal. While holding our chats, I noticed her disgusted looks on us, which she could not hide.

My baby started crying, and I needed water too.

"Please, can I get some water from you?" I haven't even had any in the last 24 hours, and my throat is beginning to hurt.

She looked at me and sighed, "I pity the poor little babe; it is a shame her mother was a whore, a stupid girl that went to get pregnant with someone that is not her mate."

Well, her lines didn't offset me; I have had a lot of more harsh ones from her colleagues, and I owe no one any explanation.

While she continued to gaze at my son, I jumped down from my bed, although I wasn't so strong, and grabbed him from her sight. She doesn't deserve to stick her ugly eyes on my son's. I might be a whore, but I am proud of the mother I am now.

Looking over opposite me is a woman who has given birth, but in the last 48 hours, our eyes knocked together. She has brown curly hair, and I'm sure she heard a bit of what we were discussing. She made her way to me, carrying a cup of water.

"Have some water," she said to me. I emptied everything in my mouth before saying thank you to her.
