I've never felt betrayed and humiliated in my whole life. I don't even know why did I agree to dance with this hot werewolf. I admit, he got me smitten with his laugh and sexy voice but I should have think twice before I agreed! I look like a fool right now and it's all because of this liar. I thought he haven't found his luna yet? Is he two-timing?!
Arianne Zecker. I look at her from head to toe. She looks beautiful and fierce. The type of beauty that everyone would think about for 24/7. I gasped inwardly. Before I could even compare myself to her, Caiden suddenly pulled her.
"What the hell are you doing here, Aria?" He asked in a tone that could make anyone feel nervous. My brows furrowed because of the way how he treated his mate.
"She's your luna, right?" I faked a smile. "Greetings. It was really nice to meet you. I am Yvania Natalia Huxley, a crown princess from the kingdom of Iterra Ideron. As much as I want to formally welcome you, I hope you know that what you did was very unprofessional and mannerless." My voice turned serious. "It is a common knowledge that the family who will host the ball tonight will be the last one to enter the ballroom while the other needs to arrive earlier than the said time."
She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out of it as if she couldn't find the right words to say. She then realized the amount of vampires and werewolves who were silently watching us. "Oh...I'm sorry," she said in the most insincere way.
"I understand." I chuckled. "I mean, this is also my first time attending the ball but thankfully I haven't made any mistakes yet." Except for the part where I decided to entertain Caiden.
She glared at me. "Are you saying–"
"Arianne, stop."
Caiden immediately cut her with a growl. He glanced at me and apologized before he pulled Arianne away from the crowd. My heart clenched. That freaking werewolf. I hope I would never see him again! Where did he even get the audacity to fool me?! Dashiell was right! They are much more cruel than us and I should have listen to him!
"Didn't I told you to stay away from Caiden?! I warned you for so many times but the only thing that you did is to be stubborn. God. What should I do to you, Ania?" Reehan looks more stress than me.
"I didn't expect that a random girl would appear in the middle of the ball just to make a scene. She should have come with Caiden before they went here," I hissed.
Reehan gave me a glare as if he was telling me to shut the fvck up. I inhaled deeply before I cut my gaze away from him. "I'm going to get some fresh air," I excused.
I immediately went to the balcony to calm my heart down. I bit my lower lip as the cold wind brush against my skin. I thought this ball is going to be exciting and memorable. Yeah, sure, it's really memorable but not in a good way. My pride was deeply hurt. I can't still believe that I was fooled. Me? A vampire princess from the largest kingdom?! How dare him!
I want to leave right now and pretend that I wasn't feeling well but for what reason? This is our territory and I shouldn't act like a loser.
"Princess."
I raised a brow and smiled sarcastically when Dashiell stopped beside me. "What? Are you also going to scold me?" I asked without looking at him. I was too embarrassed with the fact that he was right.
He sighed. "I already warned you..."
"And I didn't listen."
"But you've learned your lesson, right?"
I turned to him. He was staring at me without realizing that the wind is already ruining his black raven hair. I might find him attractive if he wasn't too persistent and annoying. And what did he say? Learned my lesson? I scoffed. Why is he talking as if it was my karma?
"What are you doing here?" I asked back.
He shrugged. "Maybe to comfort you?"
