The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 272

Manuel Salter was so pissed off he nearly passed out, while Isaac Salter headed upstairs.

Ever since he'd hitched with Brittany Dustin, he'd been spending less time at the Salter Manor, especially at bedtime, when he'd feel a bit out of sorts.

There was one less person in his arms, and he found it hard to adjust.

He dialed Brittany's number and found her with puffy and sleepless eyes.

"Zakky, I miss you." Brittany whispered into her pillow. It was the first time she'd missed someone so deeply.

She'd only left in the morning, but now the room felt empty. The familiar scent was gone, and she couldn't even sleep.

"Me too." Isaac reached out, stroking the phone screen as if he could feel her warmth. "I'll be back tomorrow, be a good girl at home."

Brittany nodded, "I am going to sleep now. Let’s keep the call on."

"OK."

Brittany curled up and fell asleep within minutes. Isaac watched her until midnight, then reluctantly drifted off.

By the time Isaac got downstairs the next morning, Manuel was already sitting in the dining room.

Grace Salter looked pissed.

Clearly, another row had happened.

There was a new young woman in the living room, dressed to the nines and acting all classy.

Upon seeing Isaac, the butler called out, "Mr. Salter."

Isaac went to the table, greeted his grandmother, and completely ignored Manuel.

"Zac, this is Shona Bennett, the daughter of the Bennett family from Imperial City."

Shona Bennett had heard about Isaac's good looks and charm and was a bit skeptical. If he was this good-looking, why the mask?

But when she saw Isaac in person, she was taken aback. She quickly composed herself.

"Mr. Salter," Shona Bennett greeted softly.

Isaac saw through Manuel's plan. He poured a glass of water, took a sip, and ignored Shona Bennett.
