Isaac turned off the faucet, dried his hands, scooped up Brittany, and plopped her on the kitchen counter, his face showing a hint of annoyance.
"You've brought this up three times already today."
He listened as she kept mentioning Mr. Salter... Even though it was about him, he didn't like hearing Mr. Salter coming out of her mouth!
Brittany realized that he was jealous and couldn't help but laugh, wrapping her legs around his waist, "Honey, don't be mad. You’re my favorite."
She was growing more and more fond of Isaac, especially when he was acting jealous. It was just too adorable.
"But Mr. Salter..."
Isaac was still not satisfied.
"I was just curious, but if it bothers you, I won't mention it."
Brittany cupped his cheeks, gave him several pecks, and Isaac, holding the back of her head, returned her kisses.
Brittany, in a daze from his kisses, was about to bask in the sweet atmosphere when suddenly her phone rang.
Brittany jumped, fished out her phone from her pocket, and saw it was a call from Hannah Chester.
She wriggled out of Isaac's arms, her face slightly flushed, and picked up the call, "Hannah, what's up?"
"Zella Anderson is getting engaged tomorrow night. Have you picked out a dress yet?"
"Not yet."
Isaac, now alone, upon hearing about an engagement party, showed a flash of displeasure.
He suddenly remembered Marcel was getting engaged; it seemed there was another debacle yet to be resolved.
"All right, I'm heading out now."
Brittany hung up the call, went back to her room to change, and came back out to tell Isaac, "Zakky, I'm going shopping with Hannah. I’ll be back later."
"Okay."
Isaac walked to the living room, pulled out a bank card, and handed it to Brittany, "Here, take this."
"What's this?"
"You're going shopping, don't use Hannah's money."
Isaac took her hand and placed the card in it.
Brittany was beaming inside, carefully accepted the card, and examined it, "Zakky, why is this card different from the one I usually use?"
The card was entirely black, without a bank logo, and it was impossible to tell which bank it was from.
But it felt nice to touch.
"This is from my grandma. You can spend the money however you like."
Upon hearing it was from his grandma, Brittany immediately pocketed it and gave him several kisses, "Then I'm off."
...
In a private room on the second floor of a bar.
Isaac pushed open the door to the private room.
Wesley Tueley was surprised to see him, "Zac, what brings you here?"
