In the middle of a stalemate, Adrian and Kendra showed up. Nowadays, Adrian always showed up on important occasions, and Kendra came because she had a thing for Ronan but was too chicken to admit it. She just wanted to watch him from afar.

Adrian brought a bunch of truffles for Ronan, which were super pricey, and said it was for his grandpa. He knew Ronan would not let him down. These truffles were just a small investment.

Everyone was seated around the dining table.

"My present?" Clearly, if Cordelia were to bring out the two belts she bought, it would be super awkward.

Cordelia leaned on Ronan's shoulder and gave him a passionate peck on the cheek. "This is my present." The rest of the words, Cordelia didn't say, after all, it was their private matter.

"You're just trying to fob me off, aren't you?" Ronan squinted at Cordelia. Cordelia had already bought a present for Ronan yesterday, so why didn't she bring it out today? Ronan had some guesses.

"Isn't a kiss a birthday present? Only I can kiss you, no one else can, isn't this unique?" Cordelia said with a bit of a huff.

This "unique kiss" made Deanna super mad. Cordelia was making fun of her for buying two identical belts, but Cordelia didn't spend a dime for her gift, and yet it was unique.

"See, Mr. Evans, how much my sister loves you." Adrian also added fuel to the fire at the right time.

Ronan turned his head to look at Cordelia. "Is it love?"

Cordelia was a bit vague. "My brother said it, so of course, it's love."

Ronan stroked the back of Cordelia's head, gently, then his hand slowly slid to the back of her neck, giving it a light squeeze.

To others, this was a caress. But the strength he used, Cordelia already felt, was heavy, and a bit oppressive. It made breathing a bit difficult. She didn't know, she just said the words "love him," so why did he have to punish her this way?

Ronan turned his head back, and blurted out, "She really loves me!"

She really loved him so much!

Deanna saw the two confessing their feelings to each other and thought to herself, her plan failed again. She had to think of a way to make Cordelia and Ronan break up completely.

After lunch, Deanna left.

Perhaps because he was in a good mood today, Ronan had a few drinks. Cordelia didn't feel anything when he was downstairs, but when they returned to the bedroom, Cordelia found his boozy breath alluring. He wasn't drunk, but it made Cordelia a bit tipsy, and she kept following Ronan.

Ronan turned back and saw Cordelia following him. "What, you're following me?" He was already a bit tipsy.

Cordelia looked at him, and thought he was very attractive now. He was unbuttoning his shirt, already on the second one. His charm was irresistible, and Cordelia's heart was beating faster.

Ronan was also looking at Cordelia. Cordelia suddenly pushed Ronan against the wall, then kissed him deeply. Her hands were roaming on his body.

"What happened downstairs was just a show. Now it's real." Ronan teased Cordelia with a smile.
