The Contracted Ever After novel Chapter 214

"How much did they pay you? Why are you setting me up like this?" Olen had backed Shelley up against a window.

"We're family. Calm down." Shelley said.

"Family?" Olen was taken aback, "Did Ronan marry your daughter?"

"Yes, he married my daughter." Shelley answered.

"No way. Are you satisfied only when the Evans family is ruined?" Ronan retorted.

Olen was getting closer and closer to Shelley.

Shelley was forced to lean against the window, its glass already broken from long neglect.

Suddenly, Shelley realized what was going on.

"My daughter isn't Kendra. It's Cordelia." Shelley said.

"Cordelia?" Olen was confused again, "Who's that? Who's Cordelia? Tell me!"

He roared at Shelley in anger.

Shelley was so frightened that she leaned back slightly.

Olen grabbed her collar, "It's you,! You're Shayla!"

Olen was fuming!

Earlier that afternoon, he was on his way back from a university lecture when he ran into Kendra.

Kendra told him, "Shelley is going to our old house this afternoon. The one where she killed Martin. She probably wants to see what has happened to the Signature Estates that you built, and how it's now deserted with weeds everywhere. She's not really Shelley. Her real name is Shayla."

Then Kendra laughed mockingly.

Kendra always had a bone to pick with Shelley. Not only was she stingy, but she also didn't care about Adrian's affairs and blamed Kendra for egging Adrian to ask Ronan for money.

The best choice for a woman was to marry a man who owned a car and a house, and whose parents were both dead.

Now, Adrian's father was dead, left with Shelley alone.

As for Shelley's fate, it all depended on this afternoon.

"What are you doing here?" Ronan's voice suddenly came from behind, "Let her go!"

Olen turned around, "I won't let go! She caused me to lose everything, and plunged the whole neighborhood into a nightmare. I will never let her off."
