The Contracted Ever After novel Chapter 395

Alana's expression didn't flicker the slightest. She let out a hearty laugh, "I'm not? Then who is? Ms. Haselwood, would you like me to pull out my family tree for you?"

Alana looked up at Cordelia, assessing her carefully. This was the first time Alana had had the chance to scrutinize Cordelia this closely. She took in her youthful beauty that could incite envy, her striking height, and her refined demeanor...

Ha, refined demeanor! What a joke.

Cordelia was regretting her earlier words. She shouldn't have been so impulsive, sharing her suspicions with Alana. Cordelia had said that she was not Alana because there was no mole on this woman's ear, a defining feature of Alana.

Having exposed this detail to Alana, Cordelia knew that she would certainly find a way to cover it up. Cordelia also thought, perhaps she had already removed the mole.

"Also, Ms. Haselwood, I won't be act against you and Mr. Evans anymore. He is too formidable,so why would I invite trouble? Here's your mom Allison’s phone number!" Alana stuffed a piece of paper into Cordelia's pocket and left.

After she had gone, Cordelia quickly took Callum from Janice's arms.

Cordelia had missed Callum, having not seen him in a while. She held her face close to the child, showering him with kisses.

Alana's words kept echoing in Cordelia's mind. To be honest, Cordelia only recognized one woman as her mother, Shelley. When Shelley died, Cordelia's mother died too. She had no feelings for her biological mother.

But she was still curious. What kind of person was Allison?

Of course, Alana's words were not trustworthy, but the fact that she could produce a ring identical to Cordelia's was enough to suggest, indeed, that Cordelia had some connections to her family, the Keegans and Allison's family.

"Cordelia, will you stay this time?" Janice was thrilled to see Cordelia back.

"I may still need to finish my studies, but I need to ensure my child is safe first," Cordelia replied, holding Callum. Now, she didn't need to look at his photos.

He was also curiously touching her face as if he didn't recognize Cordelia.

"Go make something nice for Cordelia to eat," Ronan suggested to Janice.

After Janice left for the kitchen, Ronan sat next to Cordelia and pulled out the piece of paper from her pocket. It read, [Allison's number: xxxxxxx.]

Cordelia only glanced at the piece of paper once and remembered the entire number, but she pretended not to care.
