The Contracted Ever After novel Chapter 610

Ronan couldn't help but grin from ear to ear as he perused the juicy intel he'd just uncovered. So, they were just half-siblings sharing the same father but different mothers – no wonder they seemed so comfortable with each other's touch.

Lighting up a cigarette with an air of smug satisfaction, Ronan pondered whether he should let Eason in on the scoop. He could go and spill the beans to Cordelia, but that would surely ruffle her feathers. On the other hand, sharing this bombshell with Eason might just yield some intriguing fireworks...

Despite the fact that Eason was Cordelia's half-brother, Ronan felt he should sympathize with the guy. But the truth was, Ronan had harbored so much animosity toward Eason in the past that it was hard to shake it off all at once. Now, he couldn't help but revel in Eason's impending humiliation.

"You want something, you fight for it. This is what you get," Ronan thought, a sneer playing on his lips.

"Get a burner phone and send these pictures to Eason," he instructed his assistant.

He was, quite frankly, itching to hear about Eason losing his marbles.

"Right away," the assistant replied, swapping out the SIM card and sending off a barrage of images to Eason.

At that moment, Eason was in his therapy office, his usual calm shattered as the messages flooded in. He sank into his chair, the world spinning around him, his face draining of color.

"Dr. Lincoln, are you alright?" his patient asked with concern. "Do you need to take a break?"

Eason's face trembled, "No, no, I just need a moment, just... give me a second."

He braced himself on the table, fighting the disorientation.

Cordelia... Cordelia was his half-sister all along.

And he had, without knowing, asked his own sister if she wanted to be with him. As he delved into the Keegan family's secrets, it never crossed his mind that he would become one of them. He adored his father, but to learn that the man he admired wasn't his biological father was a devastating blow to his values and beliefs.

"Dr. Lincoln, we'll leave you to it. We can reschedule," the patient suggested, sensing Eason's distress.
