The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1191

She had seen her fair share of ladies from rich families, many of whom couldn't stop their husbands from playing away. All they could do was turn a blind eye, but few were as chill as Sophia, who never complained.

Ida remained silent. Sophia gave her a friendly nudge. "Ms. Gipson, the same goes for you. Chillax a bit! If a woman takes everything too seriously, life can be exhausting."

"What should I chillax about?" Ida was confused.

Sophia laughed and said, "I mean, that young lad Byran must've sworn his love to you, right? Don't take it too seriously. Men can be fickle; they change their minds in a flash!"

Ida was slightly embarrassed. She didn't need the reminder; she was well aware.

Byran was all over her now, just because he was starting to understand love and was fascinated by her. Maybe he didn't even understand what love really was.

She wasn't some naive eighteen-year-old who would take Byran's feelings too seriously. Life was just boring, and having a young guy around to keep her company made her less lonely.

In time, Byran would grow tired and move on without her needing to push him away.

"Thanks for the heads-up, Ms. Sophia. I'm stuffed now, so please enjoy your meal. And could you thank Mr. Blanchet for his hospitality for me? I’ve got some work stuff, so I’ve got to bounce!"

She got up as soon as she finished speaking.

Sophia blinked. "You're leaving just like that? Aren't you going to wait for Byran?"

Ida didn't respond; she just left the restaurant on her own.

When Byran came back from the restroom and found Ida gone, he immediately frowned. “Where did she go?”
