Byran was taken aback. "Ida, are... are you pulling my leg?"
He didn't fully understand these matters yet, but he knew it was important to respect a girl's wishes. If Ida wasn't willing, he wouldn't push it.
In fact, they'd only had one intimate encounter, after which he had been the one pursuing Ida, but she didn't let him score each time.
Ida lightly hooked her fingers around his shirt collar. "I'm not joking; sit tight and buckle up. I'm taking you home."
Byran swallowed as he obediently sat and buckled up like a kid about to get a reward.
After seeing his expression, Ida couldn't help but laugh. He was way more adorable than those scheming men.
Life was brief, so she needed to seize the day.
Otherwise, who knew when Byran might figure out love and find the girl who really suited him.
...
Elsewhere.
Theo was smoking in the stairwell of a restaurant, his face grave as he was lost in thought.
Sophia found him easily. She pushed the door open. "What's up? Smoking alone again?"
Theo glanced at her while exhaling a puff of smoke. "Nothing; you go ahead."
Sophia shook her head. "But I don't have a car."
"Collin's outside; he'll take you home."
