Ellinor could tell that this woman was clearly out to get her.
Luckily, Theo wouldn't be coming today, and as long as that man didn't show up, everything could be negotiable.
Ellinor quietly eyed Sophia. "So if I took off my hat and mask, you'd let me go? Why are you so keen on seeing my face? Just because I'm a little chubby, you suspect me of theft? If you have so little respect for people, then call the police! When they arrive, if they ask me to remove my mask and hat, I'll cooperate fully!"
After careful thought, Ellinor was pretty sure this woman named Sophia wouldn't call the cops.
Even if she were convinced that Ellinor had stolen something, she probably wouldn't call the police at this time.
For the Blanchet family, the scandal of the police showing up on their moving day would lead to a media storm and negative news, which would be a much bigger loss than a few stolen items.
Ellinor guessed right. Sophia had no intention of calling the police. She just found the other woman's behavior suspicious and wanted to see her real face.
As Sophia was pondering how to handle the suspicious woman in front of her, the elevator doors opened nearby, and a tall, handsome man stepped out.
Upon seeing the man, Sophia's eyes lit up immediately. "Theo! Didn't you say you had something to do today and wouldn't come?"
Theo's tone was casual. "I've finished what I had to do. What are you doing here?"
Sophia grinned. "I was planning to go to your office to see if there's anything I could help tidy up, but I ran into this woman loitering outside your office door! I asked her to remove her hat and mask, but she refused. She's acting super shady."
It was only after hearing Sophia's words that Theo turned his gaze to the woman in the baggy coat, duckbill cap, and black mask.
He didn't recognize her.
This woman had been in his office?
