She pulled out a box of fancy ladies’ cigarettes from her pocket, took one out, and was about to light it up when the car door abruptly opened.

Ida frowned. "What the hell are you doing?"

Byran, with a stern look, said, "I don't like you smoking."

Ignoring him, Ida took out another cigarette, only for Byran to snatch it again.

Ida was getting annoyed.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?"

Byran solemnly said, "If I don't, then who will? I'm your boyfriend!"

Ida chuckled. "Don’t flatter yourself. I never rejected you, but I never agreed to be your girlfriend either."

Byran scowled, "What are you blabbering about? I am your boyfriend; we’ve been intimate."

Ida adjusted her glasses. "I’ve been intimate with more than just you; are they all my boyfriends?"

She took out another cigarette, dodging Byran’s hand in anticipation, lit it, took a drag, and then blew a puff of smoke at Byran.
