Ellinor shot Theo a disgruntled glance. "Well, look who finally decided to show up!"
Look at that, she was still denying she missed him?
Theo responded with a wry smile and then called out towards the door, "Collin!"
Collin appeared at the door, "Yes, Mr. Blanchet?"
Theo said, "Take Baber out for a stroll, will you? Make sure he's okay. Come back later."
"Of course, Mr. Blanchet." Collin advanced, took Baber from Ellinor's arms with care, and departed the room.
Ellinor, initially reluctant to let go of Baber, sensed that Theo had something important to say and hesitantly relaxed her hold.
Once Collin had left with Baber, Ellinor turned her attention back to Theo, eager to know what he wanted to talk about.
But before she could ask, her vision was obscured as he leaned in and kissed her.
The kiss took her by surprise, and she instinctively punched him a couple of times before surrendering to his passionate advance.
His kiss was too intense, too affectionate. She didn't stand a chance.
After what felt like an eternity, when she could barely stand, he finally let her go.
She gasped for air, her eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. "So, this was why you had Collin take Baber away?"
Theo, holding her in his arms, chuckled lowly, "What else? You would be embarrassed if the kid saw."
