The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1892

The man's voice suddenly turned muffled, causing Ellinor's heart to flutter.

"Alright! I was just joking!"

Theo held her close, not willing to let her go, "Honey, I promise you, none of this will happen again. We will never be apart again."

Ellinor nodded, "Mmm, I believe you."

...

The nurse brought Baber's test results – no problems, so they were cleared to leave the hospital.

Once home, all they'd need to do was ensure the wound stayed dry and change the dressing regularly.

Ellinor, along with Theo and Baber, went to her mother's hospital room to notify them before they left.

At home, Marissa and Putnam were anxiously waiting for them. The atmosphere at the Blanchet Manor was somewhat heavy.

Several bodyguards in the living room were keeping a close eye on the three little ones, fearing another mishap.

Layla didn't like the feeling of being watched. She pouted and went to Marissa to protest, "Great grandma, can you ask the men to stop following me? I'm not used to it; it's ruining my fun!"

Tristan and Adrian also agreed, being watched all the time really was bothersome!

Marissa patted Layla's head affectionately, "Sweetie, we are just worried about you. Did you see? Your brother Baber was kidnapped by the bad guys! It's safer this way."

Layla pouted, "But we're at home! And besides, Dad and Mom already found Baber, right? Grandma, the bad guys were caught, so it should be okay now!"

Adrian said, "Yeah, they even watch me when I go to the bathroom! I can't even pee in peace!"

Tristan nodded vigorously.
