So many people were willing to go all out for her; she must be someone special, huh?
Ellinor thought for a while, then said to Byran, "I've got an idea. The Howard family's loaded, right? Even if Theo pulls out his investment from Haillie's family business, you guys could still step in and help out your sister's best buds, the Knotts family, through this rough patch."
Byran looked troubled, "I don't have the say in our family's finances. My brother has always kept his personal and business life separate, and he's never been a fan of Haillie. So, he's definitely not going to invest in the Knotts family."
Ellinor expressed regret, "Well, that's a bummer; I can't help you then."
Even if she had some pull with Theo, she had no right to interfere with his decisions. Even if Theo would listen to her, she wouldn't lift a finger to help Haillie.
As for the one who repeatedly set her up and nearly got her killed, Ellinor wouldn't plead for her.
She firmly believed in karma. If a person did something wrong, they had to pay for their actions.
Byran looked tense and stepped forward, "Ellinor, I'm begging you, go talk to Theo."
Ellinor stood her ground and slightly tilted her head, "I'm tired."
Belinda stepped in just in time to back her up and pushed Byran a bit, "Did you hear that? She's tired. Byran, you can hit the road now! Stop bothering her!"
Byran was already in a bad mood. Seeing Belinda get involved, he suddenly became furious, "Belinda! I'm talking to Ellinor; mind your own business!"
Belinda didn't back down, "Her business is my business! Haillie's been bullying her for too long. Theo dealing with her is just him sticking up for Ellinor; it's only right! I think just pulling out the investment is already lenient!"
Byran couldn't refute her; he was so mad that his face turned green, "Buzz off, you have no say here!"
After saying that, he tried to bypass her to continue talking to Ellinor.
