Chapter 322
Theo took one look, then pocketed his phone, completely ignoring it.
Ellinor leaned against the steel railing of Donebridge, her hair billowing beautifully in the river wind, looking incredibly elegant.
She looked out at The Bund of Trent River, where she could see the tallest skyscraper in Greenhaven….
“Watch it, don’t fall off!”
The man behind her grabbed her collar, just like he was grabbing a little rabbit.
In three seconds flat, the man ruined Ellinor’s beautiful moment.
He lifted her off her feet, making her feel incredibly uncomfortable…
Sometimes she really thought the man treated her like a helpless child, always managing her like this, it was so annoying!
“Let go of me! I’m not stupid, I wouldn’t let myself fall off!”
Theo put her down further from the bridge, letting her feet touch the ground.
Then, Theo looked down at her, “You think you’re not stupid?”
“Of course I’m not stupid!”
“If you’re not stupid, why can’t you understand anything?”
“What don’t I understand?”
“Think about it yourself.” The man looked disappointed.
Ellinor thought he was really boring: “When is your person coming to pick us up?”
Theo put his hands in his pockets and looked out at the river: “No one’s coming to pick us up.”
What?
Didn’t he just tell Patricia someone would pick them up later?!
*No one’s coming? So we have to walk back?”
“What’s wrong with walking? Don’t you young people like to walk when you’re in love?”
“You’re so out of touch. Who likes to walk these days? What’s so good about it, inhaling car exhaust together?”
Just as Ellinor was laughing at how out of touch the man was, she suddenly realized something was off about what he said….
He had just mentioned being in love….
Why was he comparing their current situation to being in love?
As she was pondering over his words, unsure if she had misunderstood….
Theo leaned over to look at her, “So how do you young people date these days, can you teach me?”
Ellinor snapped back to reality, his words felt even more off, and she forced a laugh, “Nothing much, just eating, drinking, gaming. playing escape rooms, and so on.”
Theo frowned, besides eating and drinking, everything else seemed like a waste of time to him.
“Do you also like to participate in these activities?”
