Scarlett
My eyes blinked open, a loud scream leaving my mouth as I thrashed on the hard floor. I whimpered, a fire spreading along my muscles as they were forced to stretch without a warning, reflexively. A bad dream, except now that I was awake, I knew it wasn't a dream but my reality. It felt so actual and that is when everything came rushing back.-
Cane and his friend, the two guards, the people that were placed outside my cell to occlude my escape. The same two vile men that wanted to force themselves on me. An image of my legs being pried open flashed before my eyes, followed by increased heart palpitations.
The weary feeling of being held down, trapped on the hard concrete washed over me yet again. I relived it all over again, the helplessness, the constant begging. I wiped a sheen of sweat on my forehead with the back of my hand, ignoring the burning feeling all over my body.
I had gone through too much in my pathetic excuse of a life to break down now. I massaged my temples to ease the pounding pain that seemed to never go away. With my eyes closed, I leaned on the wall, allowing my mind to just work, to think, to remember, to do whatever it wanted to. I never had a say over my own life in my former pack, seemed I was walking down the same path even after my escape.
The stench was familiar and so was everything in it. I was still in the cell, with the stale sandwich sitting beside me on the same plate. The wounds I had sustained through the bites had dried up, despite the conditions of living I had been subjected to.
Tilting my leg slowly, I observed the biggest one I had sustained from the alpha on my heel. His wolf would have snapped my foot but the tranquilizers I had put in his drink worked at the right moment. The sound of dangling keys had me shifting and pressing my body further on the wall.
'Please. ' I whispered to myself, suppressing a shiver as Cane came into view. My stomach tied in knots when he stepped inside. I wrapped my arms around myself, another layer of sweat beginning to form. His presence forced me yet again to relive the moment. The exact moment he had positioned his manhood on my pussy, nudging at the opening, with the help of his friend.
'Get up. ' He hissed, his voice sending another shiver down my spine. I had pretty unambiguous knowledge of what he was capable of. So slowly, I tried pushing myself up, my mouth shut entirely while my gaze remained cast on the floor. I could feel every inch of my body part putting up resistance, almost halting my movements.
'We don't have all day you bitch! ' I had the urge to tell him to shut the fuck up. To stop shouting when my head was pounding so much. However before I could go through with it and face the obvious consequences, he pulled me up by my hand.
It was brief and yet the part on my wrist where his hand had been hurt. My legs shook, the strength of my upper body too much for them to support. A wave of nausea hit me, creeping up from my abdomen to my head. I could feel everything around me spinning slowly but steadily. I crumpled, with my eyes shut, I welcomed the fall but the next thing I felt was a pair of arms steadying me.
An indescribable feeling spread all over my chest, a warmth that I had never felt in my entire life enveloped me. Tingles ran and danced across my skin as the warmth of the hands seeped into my skin. Then my eyes opened as I was lowered down again to the floor.
'Alpha. ' Cane bowed, his hands behind his back. I could see a man in my peripheral vision but somehow I was afraid of looking at him. If he was anything like my former alpha, then I was going to wish I was dead.
Slowly, I lifted my eyes and looked at him.
Drop dead attractive, standing a head taller than Cane, with broad shoulders and muscular arms covered by a navy blue t-shirt, my natural expression paused. He was a sight to look at, with jet black hair that looked a little bit messy. My eyes dropped down to his prominent cheekbones, up his clean shaven face. Finally our eyes connected and I swear my heart rate picked up.
