The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 34

"Did… did you just use those lines on me?"

"You were crying as though the world had ended. No. You were crying yesterday as though Olivia has died and you would do anything to bring her back to life and now, you can't even stop her from using her phone so she could get a full bed rest"

"Alexandra! Are you questioning my motive?"

"Your motives were questioned by you the moment it became hypocritical"

Veronica's eyes widened, she had not expected her to be this vicious.

"Hypocritical? Me. I love my daughter you fool, I gave birth to her, do you have to question that?"

"I'm not questioning your birth, however, you should not question mine. I will check up on Olivia to make certain she's having bed rest. What I will not do is treat her like a child because she isn't"

"Just do your thing, you make me sick" Veronica turns around, a thought strikes her mind and she stares back at Alexandra "One more thing, your father may be home early, if he asks for him, tell him I'm meeting up with some friends"

Without uttering another word, Alexandra continues to do the dishes until she is out of sight, gazing at the door, and she smirks.

A lot of things ran through her mind, she had expected Olivia to be out of bed and down into the living room, taunting her life as she usually does but Olivia was still stuck in her bedroom causing her to wonder.

"Did the rogues beat her up that badly?"

Alexandra had made certain they had inflicted the same amount of injury Olivia had made those rogues inflict on her. A lot of emotions run through her eyes as she remembers a day after those rogues had attacked her in the woods.

Despite the fact she was severely injured, neither Bernard nor Veronica cared about her, and no one came to her room nor brought her pills to calm her pains. Instead Bernard showed his disgust towards her stating how unfit she was to lead the pack, he had even gone further to threaten her, telling her that he would force her hands to give up her Alpha position.

Even though Alexandra didn't care much about her position back then, she felt hurt, as if a sword had passed through her heart, for never would she imagine that her father would do such a thing to her.

While Olivia taunted her the next morning going to the council house and gossiping with some of their pack members, Veronica had made her do all the chores, staying under the rain clearing the backyard since the fallen leaves had made the surroundings look untidy.

But Alexandra didn't let all that get to her, she just smiled, thinking of it all as a phase of life feeling her mind with the hope that soon she will be off to Adams's side as his wife and Luna.

Turning on the tap, Alexandra throws water on her face, runs her hand across her face, and smiles.

"Olivia Guerrero, who would have thought, you will still be stuck in bed? '' she smirks.

"How pathetic" she walks out of the kitchen slamming the door, and heads into the living room, attempting to walk up the stairs. When the doorbell rings and she gazes at the door wondering who could be standing behind closed doors, hindering her plans just when she was about to go pay Olivia a visit in her bedroom.

Alexandra groans. "Don't they know the right time to come to someone's place?" She stomps her feet towards the door, peeping through the eagle eyes, and groans silently hating how she always shows up at the wrong time. Yanking the door wide open, Alexandra gazes at the female pack member earlier standing with another male pack member.

"Hey Alexandra"
