Without a doubt about who he was talking about, a rush of anger runs through her body and Alexandra turns up the music and a hip hop jam starts to play.

Glaring at her, Nathaniel turns off the music, hating to be ignored.

"Are you thinking about Adam?"

Hearing that name, Alexandra clenches her jaw, gazing at him.

"What's your problem?" She asks

"Good. Now I got your attention"

"Are you looking for a way to piss me off? Do you love seeing me unhappy?"

"Of course, not Alexandra, I was just worried about"

"Too worried you had to bring him up of all persons"

"I'm sorry alright, just wanted to get your attention"

"Well you certainly got my attention"

"I'm sorry but seriously Alexandra, what's your deal with Adam Hawthorn?"

"Nathaniel, drop it"

"Are we ever going to talk about him?"

"I don't know alright and is it necessary?"

"Well, yea it is. I want to be a part of your life"

"You're my mate, that makes you part of my life"

"It sounds as though without being your mate, I wouldn't have been part of your life"

"If we were not mates, will we have met? I don't know but now we are, so what more do you want?"

"I want you Alexandra" He whispers

"You want me"

"Yes, I want to take you to my pack and all"

Alexandra rolls her eyes. "Why do you keep bringing this up?"

"What's wrong with going to my pack?"

"I never said anything is wrong with going to your pack" she tucks her hair behind her ear staring intently at him.

"Honestly why do you keep pushing it away?"

"And why do you keep bringing it up when I already told you that I don't wish to go"

"I'm not giving up"

"Why? Didn't you already regret our marriage agreement"

"Alexandra!" He yells

"What? Do I need to sugarcoat it? Wasn't that your words?"

"Come with me to my pack"

"Will you drop it, Nathaniel?" She runs her hand through her hair.

Nathaniel tightens his hand on the steering, he wasn't going to give up, he still had to take her back home and was going to keep on asking.

"If Adam was the one asking, will this still be your response?"

"Will you shut the hell up, Nathaniel!" She snaps. "My gosh! What is wrong with you? Do you think I feel anything for that man or perhaps you feel that my heart skips at the mention of his name"

"Does it?"

Alexandra scoffs. "You're crazy"

"Of course not"

"Will you stop talking about him? I feel nothing for Adam Hawthorn"

"Alright"

"Can you please tune the music back on?"

Without hesitation, Nathaniel turns on the music, and Alexandra smiles.

"I saw you talking to a man and a little girl earlier"

"You saw me"

"Yea I waited, wasn't sure if I should come around"

"Why would you think that?"

"I just thought, you wanted to be alone with them"

Alexandra smiles. "You're funny"

"I saw you smiling like this" He takes a glance at her.

"Like how?"

"Your eyes shined brightly"

"The little girl was funny and cute"

"You love babies?" Nathaniel asks and an old memory runs through her mind.

"I do, do you?"

"Yes, I will be a great father and my son will be an Alpha of course"

Alexandra rolls her eyes. "Is that why you want kids?"

"No, there are lots of reasons for me but I know you will be the perfect mother"

"Perfect, no I don't think so but a good mom then certainly, I will be a good mom" she smiles.

"You are so honest, that's why I'm glad that you are my mate"

"Are you?"

"Yes, don't I look like I am?"

"If you say so" she gazes out the window as Nathaniel accelerates his speed.

"Are you happy that I'm your mate?" He asks, hoping to get through to her.

Alexandra looks at him. "Why are you suddenly asking?"

"Nothing just want to be sure of something"
