The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 56

Staring into space, Alexandra couldn't fathom why Olivia had thought Nathaniel had given her morale. Of course meeting Nathaniel has changed a lot about her, he made her smile even when she didn't want to, cranked her up, and somehow was annoying in a manner that pleases her.

Alexandra didn't know what it was but all she was sure of was that she wanted him to be close to him and deep down she wanted to go to his pack, was going to tell him that she wanted to go to his pack but only after the Alpha ceremony.

Although Alexandra had kept silent about this matter, all she wanted was for Nathaniel to quit asking her to come with him, she didn't want to tell him she wanted to take part in the Alpha ceremony since she isn't sure how he feel and so she felt that keeping quiet would be the best solution to her problem.

What she didn't expect was for Nathaniel to turn around raining hurtful words at her and accusing her of toying with him. Deep down, Alexandra had in mind that she would never do such a thing to Nathaniel and wasn't sure where he got that crazy idea. Although, her attitude towards him hasn't been all cold and wicked, Alexandra thought he would have trusted her more than accusing and not giving her a chance to fight for them.

"I wonder what he's doing" she sits in front of the mirror, combing her hair and staring at her reflection of herself through the mirror.

A smile creeps on her face as she remembers their time together at the inn, despite constantly trying to pick a fight with him, Alexandra was glad, he was with her and cared about her a lot.

"Are you thinking about me?" She exhales stands up, walks towards the window, sits down gazes at the moon.

She chuckled wondering how Nathaniel knew she was one of those girls who loves to sit and stare at the moon and often talk to it as if it was a human.

"How can only you know me so damn well" she rolls her eyes, pretending to be pissed off but deep down, she couldn't contain the glee on her face that her mate knew her. He was truly her mate and without blinking an eye, she didn't doubt that at least not anymore.

"Goodnight" she blows a kiss towards the moon and shuts her window, staring at it for a moment, a thought strikes through and Alexandra wonders if Adams had thought she had gone over to her mother's clan.

She smirks. "Poor Adam, what a fool he is" she states , a lot of things strikes through her mind but she quickly pushes it off hoping for nothing more than to see Nathaniel sitting next to her smiling at her.

Swallowing the lump in her throat, and runs her index finger against her lips as the memory of the kiss she had shared with Nathaniel strikes through her mind.

"He's so good" she smiles closing her eyes, memories of Nathaniel exploring the corners of her mouth, flood her mind causing her face to flush. Alexandra bites her lower lips, opens her eyes, and jumps as she sees Nathaniel sitting on the bed staring at her.

"Nathaniel" she states, bewildered

"You seem surprised to see me"

"Of course I am, you… I didn't think you would come after last time" she smiles widely

"You thought about me so here I am"

The smile quickly fades away from her lips and she realizes was just her imagination. Nathaniel was probably at his house, still mad at her, perhaps he wouldn't want anything to do with her and that scared her a lot.

"You want him and not me"

"Kinda"

"Should I go?"

"You're already here so stay"

"What were you thinking about?"

A smile creeps on Alexandra's face, and she blushes. "Is nothing just this and that"

"You were thinking about him or maybe the kiss"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "How did you know?"

"I'm in your mind always so I know what you are thinking"
