A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 305

Willow stormed out, tears brimming in her eyes, leaving Yvan alone in the mall. Matilda's boutique was right next to Yvan's, and after witnessing the entire drama unfold, she slipped into a white evening gown for fitting.

When she emerged, Hala and Luna showered her with compliments. "Goddess! You look absolutely stunning!"

Matilda, in her off-the-shoulder white gown, hair flowing like a waterfall, and her captivating features, made Luna exclaim, "If I were a guy, I'd fall head over heels for you!"

Yvan, passing by the boutique, caught a glimpse of Matilda in her gown. She looked back at her friends with a gentle smile, her delicate features and elegant aura reminiscent of a graceful swan.

Yvan's gaze deepened. When they had secretly eloped, he hadn't provided Matilda with the grand wedding she deserved. Her fiery passion turned cold due to his neglect and disrespect. Eventually, she told him she regretted loving him.

Seeing Matilda now, in her white gown, Yvan paused, caught by her beauty. He imagined what their wedding could have been like, grand and dreamlike, but love doesn't offer do-overs.

He watched her, entranced, as if she were his bride all over again. Matilda felt a burning gaze and turned to find Yvan, his eyes intense with emotion. She stepped back, surprised by the intensity in his look. Yvan, sensing her discomfort, withdrew his gaze, burying those fleeting emotions deep within.

The others noticed Yvan too, and Luna greeted him, "Hey, boss."

"Hello," Yvan replied coolly, as if his momentary lapse was just an illusion.

"Here to shop as well?" Hala whispered, noting Yvan's pause was for Matilda.
