It felt like the whole world had turned its back on him.
Then he stepped forward, nudging Yvan's back with his elbow, "Hey, you okay?"
Yvan looked up, a suppressed fury blazing in his eyes as he stared at Adrian, "Who said Criss was into guys?"
Adrian froze, "Come on, it's common knowledge..."
And yet, he'd been flirting with Matilda just to get a rise out of him!
It was all on purpose! Just to stoke his anger, to make him witness that scene!
Damn it, why was that guy so infuriating!
Yvan's sudden burst of anger took Adrian by surprise, "No way, who were you arguing with at the door?"
Yvan forced a smile, "Nobody."
The silent battle had already ended.
Matilda had taken Criss away, driving him home, their closeness unmistakable, without a sliver of space between them.
Yvan couldn't lie and say he wasn't jealous.
Just as he was about to leave, something caught his eye. He squinted and took a few steps forward, spotting a silver keychain on the ground. It must have fallen off in the hurry, perhaps when Criss was playfully pushing Matilda.
Without much thought, Yvan picked up the keychain, but upon closer inspection, his heart skipped a beat.
