A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 578

Opal was left speechless by Yvan's sudden barrage of questions—a complete reversal. Her own grandson was rebelling against her for that woman!

"Yvan, how could you treat your own grandmother like this? And Rachel, didn't you say you loved her? Grandma brought her closer to you, and now you blame me?"

Yvan, unable to vent his frustration, rubbed his temples. The anger made him unusually lose his composure, his hands trembling from the effort to restrain himself.

His grandmother had cornered him and Matilda with her own hands!

This was his grandmother! What was she doing?!

Yvan's eyes reddened, his smile chilling, "Really? Are you sure you're doing this for me?"

The sorrow in Yvan's voice made it seem as though he'd lost all hope because of them.

Yvan looked at his grandmother, "Grandma, are you really trying to help me? No! You feel your position in the Boyd family has been challenged over the years, so you keep finding trouble with Matilda! You're not concerned about me; you're concerned about yourself!"

Yvan's voice broke, nearly hysterical yet desperately trying to stay composed. Opal stepped back, clutching her chest, "Yvan, what did you just say? Are you accusing me? Everything I've done..."

"If you really cared about me, how could you not see that I'm desperately trying to make amends to Matilda? Your actions only make her hate the Boyds more. What's the point?"
