A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 587

Chloe staggered back, "Damn, why are you so handsome?"

R7CKY still sported that grin, then caught sight of Logan stepping out, looking utterly shocked. "Why did you guys show up looking like this?"

Luckily, Matilda didn't seem too suspicious. Logan, holding the lunchbox Godfrey had packed for him, headed out. R7CKY still had that smile plastered on his face as they walked to the car, teasing Logan, "Your mom is gorgeous, oh, and her friend isn't bad either."

Logan snapped, "Don't even think about hitting on my mom!"

"Alright, alright," R7CKY chuckled, bending down to lift him into the car. "So, how about we introduce ourselves to your mom like this? Wonder if she'll remember this handsome face..."

Logan was speechless at R7CKY's narcissism.

He later added, "Sorry to burst your bubble, but my mom definitely won't remember you."

As they all got in the car, Ventus started the engine. Godfrey had packed a handmade lunchbox, filled to the brim with sushi rolls and nori rice balls stuffed with sour plum and salmon - a satisfying bite.

R7CKY marveled, "Such culinary skills, almost rivals Gluttony himself."

Gluttony, representing gluttony from the seven deadly sins.

Logan blinked, "Maybe Godfrey is the embodiment of gluttony from the seven sins."

"Don't jinx it, what if you're right?"

R7CKY poked Logan, picking up a peeled sweet shrimp from the lunchbox and offering it to Ventus, who was driving.

Ventus frowned, an unusual expression on his usually stoic face, "What's this for?"

"Just feeding you, driving's tiring," R7CKY replied with a grin.

Ventus hesitated, "You sure it's not poisoned?"
